Big Moment.

Big moment:

I just got my first “so I’ve been reading your blogs and you’ve motivated me to get the ole butt in shape” comment.

I don’t know if you know how tremendous this is for me. Particularly because the more people I feel rely on me (in a sense), the more pressure I feel to make my dreams come true. Also, this couldn’t have come at a better time; work is crazy, we do nothing but sit and eat and feel exhausted all the time, and my motivation often wears thin. I’m not a robot, you know, and my 5am wake up call comes with a pretty hefty price tag come mid afternoon. Evening workouts are nearly a thing of the past due to late night dinners, and I can feel my body slowing down and losing steam.

Then I get this message from Kyle Thompson and all of a sudden, I’m back in the game! I have a lot to look forward to in upcoming months and the self-esteem and confidence boost I get from exercising & living an active, healthy lifestyle more than pay for the effort that goes into it. I’ve got many major changes on the horizon and that, naturally, makes this an opportune time for small, personal changes as well.

So here’s the question to you: if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Big or small, no limits.

Then, make a plan to make that change. Implement even the tiniest of baby steps in the right direction, and one year from now those baby steps will have yielded a large return.

You all know my plan, probably. Do something active every day that I enjoy, don’t neglect strength training, and don’t throw yoga and meditation by the wayside.

If you need help making a plan, please contact me. You may even get a dedicated post to you just because hearing from you has made me so happy.

Also, I need your help staying accountable. Those of you who are here in training with me, don’t let me eat gobs of bad food. You should know by now that my will power is lacking some and I need all the help I can get. I will gladly return the favor to anyone who wants an accountability buddy, but for right now, everyone I see is mine.
